  • Choose Your First Weekly Challenge

Start by opening the weekly challenge list PDF document from the resources section above. Have a read through the 52 weekly challenges so you gain an understanding of the types of challenges you can attempt over the coming year.

Start by choosing which challenge you would like to try first. There is no hard and fast rule about how to do this, you can choose at random, you could work through from 1 – 52, you could start with whichever you feel is easiest and work your way up to the harder ones or the reverse.

Essentially the idea behind these challenges is they are there to encourage you to make a positive change in some way in your life. Change can be hard, but change is good and necessary to move you from where you are to where you want to be.

These challenges can also highlight any bad habits you have in your life right now and gives you the chance to work on a week by week basis to change your routines in these bad habits. This goes back to the habit loop where by changing the routine you can turn the bad habit into a new good habit that gets you the result you want.

You will see that weekly challenge is now in the Kaizen Success System worksheet so make sure you fill this in moving forward and do your best to complete it week on week. Be sure to keep track of how you went, any lessons you learnt along the way and whether or not you successfully completed the challenges or not. This information will can and most probably will be used in both the weekly and the quarterly reviews that we talk about in later lessons.

Remember these challenges are designed to move you a little way outside your comfort zone, some more than others and everyone will find different challenges have differing levels of difficulty.

However if you can create some new good habits and use these on a daily basis in your life moving forward, you will see yourself moving towards your ultimate life vision much faster than before.
